probbly a AC pulce gate or AC magnetic pulce gate
Fluorescent lamps which operate directly from mains frequency AC will flicker at twice the mains frequency, since the power being delivered to the lamp drops to zero twice per cycle. This means the light flickers at 120 times per second (Hz)at rectance in countries which use 60-cycle-per-second (60 Hz) AC, and 100 times per second in those which use 50 Hz. This same principle can also cause hum from fluorescent lamps, actually from its ballast.
because there are two caps in this system its hard to get our head around what is happening so we will leave it for now will test with what we find as far as caps go. still havent wound the second coil,. well were off to the swinging sultan for a coffee and will think about it some more. went to dump and scrap car yard today got caps for testing and some car head light bulbs 12v 55watt if the 240v coil doesent work out we will wound secondry with shorter fatter soft galvanised iron wire insulated with thread tape for 12v out put probbly the best bet .to max flux,, did we turn your lights on?
secondary cut 6 .04'' 41'' soft galvanized iron wires parallel and primary 1 .03'' 29ft copper will wynd tomorrow this is to try get around 12v and test the one we wound today 240v one to one turns same voltage so some one wrote think its misimformation.

well 4 wont offer much resistance 6 light bulbs is a lot of heat coming through and the resisters dont make any dif that we notice best thought is to have smaller wire in coil primary but dont have any so we will hook up and see what happens April 6, 2008 2:16 PM

we feel the reverce spike is a show of over unity if we can some how capture it, may be with caps and or power transisters might be easer if the voltage was less , could use transformer to stepdown to 12v and remove transformer diodes for 12v AC, then we can read the volttage with out risking the meter

YOU wind this transformer from the copper lengths and gage from wall transformer few 100mA AC 240v or 120v coiled around this setup made from 1/2'' cast iron the ends are 51 *CONCAVE CONE. .rectifid to 12 V DC locked in one AlrOgen pulls magnet flux through coils giving back spike which flows through load
